Welcome to the Cook Medical Charitable Donations, Grants, and Sponsorships site for the European Union. This site provides healthcare organisations and healthcare professionals, including hospitals, medical schools, and medical societies, with a clear and concise process to request funding and product donations.
To help advance patient care and medicine, we support programs for patient awareness, the provision of medical care for underserved patients, education, and research. The projects we fund align with these goals.
We will not provide funding or products in exchange for business. Excessive gifts and other transfers of value make healthcare more expensive and can cause increased burden on public payment systems. Governments and the general public have also shown increasing concern that money, products, and influence from the healthcare industry could interfere with the physician-patient relationship. To avoid this, industry standards and best practices suggest removing sales and marketing from the funding process, which Cook has done with the implementation of our funding process.
Due diligence screenings privacy disclosure
As part of Cook’s preapproval due diligence process, persons, and entities affiliated with applications to Cook’s Charitable Donations & Grants program are screened against publicly available governmental sanctions, debarments, and restrictions lists to help ensure compliance with external applicable standards. For more information, please see Cook’s data privacy statement at https://www.cookgroup.com/privacy-statement/.
For questions regarding our funding process, check our FAQs or contact your Funding Administrator.
At Cook Medical, we view charitable donations, grants, and sponsorships as more than financial support – we consider them vital for patient care and healthcare professional education. We also want to be clear about where our monetary and product donations go and the efforts we support.
It is Cook Medical’s policy to comply with laws around the world that apply to public disclosure of our transfers of value to healthcare professionals. We have one global policy that covers them all. Different parts of the world call it different things: the French Sunshine Decree, the U.S. Federal Accountable Care Act § 6002, the Vermont and Massachusetts disclosure laws, and the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid refer to the Open Payment Law.
We have three regional offices that consider funding, services, and product for eligible organisations and healthcare professionals who want to improve healthcare and find better ways to help patients.
