Cook Medical’s latest addition to its broad offering of wire guides is the Roadrunner® UniGlide.® The hydrophilic UniGlide wire guide offers a familiar feel and the performance physicians expect. A durable hydrophilic coating provides trackability and pushability, and a tungsten-impregnated jacket enhances visibility. A tapered nitinol mandril offers 1:1 torque response for superb directional control.
The UniGlide wire guide has more than 50 configurations, including one of the longest peripheral hydrophilic wires on the market. The 320 cm length can facilitate radial and lower-limb procedures as well as the use of 150 cm balloon angioplasty catheters. Standard and stiff shafts give physicians support options, and angled and straight tips are available.
For enhanced usability, each UniGlide is packaged with a torque device that is compatible with a broad range of wire-guide diameters. Each UniGlide wire guide also comes with a unique scoop-shaped accessory that simplifies wire insertion.
