What do you do?
I’m the senior global product manager and the team leader for Embolic Therapies.
How long have you been with Cook?
I started at Cook as an intern and took a full-time position in marketing in 1999. So, I’ve been at Cook for almost 15 years. I’ve been in my current position since 2009.
What do you like most about your job?
My time at Cook has afforded me a variety of experiences. What I think I enjoy the most about my job is managing the global strategy for the Embolic Therapies team. Through my travels, I’ve developed a strong interest in learning about the different cultures and business practices around the world. I believe that diverse perspectives can only improve our strategy, and in turn, the products we make.
What inspires you?
My inspiration comes from two sources: the people I work with and the patients we help. It’s my team members that facilitate the success of the embolization product line. Product managers, marketing, regulatory specialists, engineers, etc. continue to drive the innovation I’ve come to expect from Embolic Therapies and Cook. Their determination to provide exceptional products to the marketplace keeps me motivated to lead the team in the best direction, globally.
My inspiration also comes from the lives we can improve through our products. By providing effective embolic solutions to physicians, our products become the tools that they use to improve patient outcomes. And this is the ultimate goal and motivation for everyone on my team, including me. It’s great to work every day knowing that what we are doing is making a difference in people’s lives.
