Cook Medical’s Vista Education and Training Programmes focus on best practices in using innovative techniques and technologies designed to improve patient care. Led by physician and nurse experts, these opportunities offer discussion of procedural techniques and hands-on device sessions featuring one-on-one instruction. The ultimate goal of the Vista programmes is to improve patient outcomes in the future by giving clinicians the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with our products under the guidance of skilled experts in their respective fields.
Cook Medical’s Endoscopy division offers a number of Vista programmes, which are supported by specific models, and simulated experiences, which replicate as closely as possible actual clinical scenarios. Different skill levels are available to address a clinician’s specific device and procedural learning needs.
ERCP
Cook Medical’s Endoscopy division has developed the ERCP trainer, which replicates pancreaticobiliary anatomy in a physician-designed mechanical model, allowing physicians to gain important experience in the fundamentals of ERCP and endoscope manipulation and/or management. It also allows participants to practice cannulation and endoscope techniques and/or management in a safe, stress-free environment under the supervision of skilled experts.
EUS
Cook offers training courses focused on both diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic ultrasound. Featuring the widest range of needles on the market and our EchoTip ProCore technology, we offer a great overview of the entire EUS discipline.
Haemostasis
With Haemostasis being one of the most pressurised areas of GI medicine, Cook recognises the importance of strong training in this area. These stimulating, hands-on training events will help clinicians gain a comprehensive and practical understanding of traditional devices or new innovations on the market. Cook provides a wide array of haemostasis solutions, including Hemospray, Instinct Endoscopic Hemoclip, multiband ligators and a variety of needles and probes.
