In this series we meet members of the Endoscopy team from different regions around Europe. This month we talk to Päivi, our Regional Manager for the Nordics.
1. What is your current position with Cook Medical and how long have you been in this position?
I am the Endoscopy Regional Manager for the Nordic regions and have been in this position for over a year. I’ve been with the company less than 10 years and I am the only female RM for the Endoscopy team.
2. What is a typical day like for you?
A typical day for me would be travelling with my team to any one of the Nordic countries. As a team we visit many clinics and work closely with our customers. We are constantly trying to find solutions together with Health Care Professionals.
3. What, in your opinion, makes Cook Medical a unique company?
What stands out for me is our dedication to the Cook Culture. We have over 50 years of a legacy that we proudly pass on to employees in every aspect of the business.
4. What about Cook Medical makes you most proud?
What makes me proud of Cook is it’s ethical approach to patient care and education which is evident throughout the whole organization.
5. We are constantly striving to be innovative in Cook Medical. Tell me how you see this in action in the field.
Freedom of creating new ways of doing things comes with a great responsibility. My team is passionate in finding new solutions with their customers. In my team everyone accepts responsibility for their own successes and failures. They are not afraid to speak up when they think something should be done differently in the interest of patients and clinical progress.
6. What do you like to do when you’re not working?
When I’m not working I like to go hiking or skiing with my husband and dogs. Being out in the wild and connecting with nature is essential in keeping me in balance with the world around me and working life.

Jag är regionchef för endoskopi i Norden. Jag har haft den här befattningen i mer än ett år. Jag har arbetat för företaget i mindre än 10 år och jag är den enda kvinnliga regionchefen i endoskopiteamet.
2. Hur ser en vanlig dag ut för dig?
På en vanlig dag reser jag med mitt team till något av länderna i Norden. Vårt team besöker många kliniker och arbetar i nära samarbete med våra kunder. Vi försöker alltid att hitta lösningar tillsammans med läkare.
3. Vad tycker du gör Cook Medical till ett unikt företag?
Det mest framträdande för mig är vårt engagemang för Cooks företagskultur. Vi har en 50 år lång tradition som vi är stolta över att föra vidare till våra medarbetare i varje del av vår verksamhet.
4. Vilken del av Cook Medical är du stoltast över?
Jag är stolt över Cooks etiska patientvård och utbildning, som genomsyrar hela verksamheten.
5. Vi på Cook Medical försöker alltid att vara innovativa. Berätta om hur du ser detta i verksamheten.
Friheten att uppfinna nya metoder kommer med ett stort ansvar. Mitt team brinner för att hitta nya lösningar tillsammans med våra kunder. I mitt team tar varje medlem ansvar för sina framgångar och motgångar. De är inte rädda för att säga till när de anser att det är bättre för patienten eller den kliniska processen att göra saker annorlunda.
6. Vad gör du när du är ledig?
När jag inte arbetar tycker jag om att vandra eller åka skidor med min man och mina hundar. Friluftsliv och närheten till naturen hjälper mig att hitta en balans i tillvaron och arbetslivet.
